100% Canadian Clay, Locally Made, Sustainable Pottery

We create all our products at
our studio in Winnipeg, Manitoba and our clay is Plainsman from Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Using solar power, in-floor heat and efficient kiln technology,
our endeavour is to keep our footprint as small as possible. All our products are 100% reusable and recyclable.

Clay

is naturally made through the process of erosion of rocks, and depending on the location, each type of clay has different composition and characteristics.

We uses 4 different types of clays that have different properties, depending on the product needs. Plainsman Clay sourced from Medicine Hat, Alberta, specializes in creating clay mixes designed for consistency in pottery production.

Tableware

is made of mixes of porcelain, stoneware and/or coloured stains to make unique pieces for home use.  We use only clear, food safe glaze that enhances the beauty of the clay and makes it microwave and dishwasher safe.  Efficient production processes keep our prices affordable while showing off the beauty of clay shaped on a potter’s wheel.

Ollas

are made from a mix of Earthenware clays- each with very slightly different properties that allow the plant roots to seek out the area that releases just the right amount of water for that root.

Seed Starters

use an “open body” clay which allow both air and water to wick through the walls of the pot. We have found that they allow just the right amount of moisture needed by seeds, seedlings and microgreens while the sides do not attract mold or mildew like traditional earthenware.
